GEORGETOWN -- Dallas Jesuit beat Houston Strake Jesuit in a 1-0 shootout to win the UIL Class 5A boys finals and become the first private school to win a UIL soccer championship.
Dallas Jesuit (25-0), ranked No. 1 nationally, won when goalie Ryan Aubrey denied all four shootout attempts by Strake Jesuit (27-1-1). Aubrey blocked two shots outright, and Strake Jesuit had a shot go wide off the post and another high over the net.
In the shootout, David Reilly and Hansel Reyes converted their attempts for the Rangers.
Both schools joined the UIL in 2003.
